Hi

Image
So this week not much interesting happened we just spent a lot of time doing service for members like helping them move or pulling weeds. That's how we spent most of our time we weren't teaching. We finally got to start church down here and the spanish ward had about 25 people who came and the English about 35. So i got to meet a few new people but not many. We also watched the face to face which was super good i definitely reccomend it. But that about all that has happened week. I hope you guys had a good week.  Elder Holdstock P.S.  Some of the wildlife near Mitchell's apartment

The Wall

This week was pretty good. Jorge still hasn't been baptized because of his job but we are going to try to have his baptism a couple of days after he gets back from his work in California. We also started teaching a new person named Jennifer and asked her to be baptized and she accepted. We also invited another sister who has been recieving the lessons for a while to be baptized and she also accepted. So were praying that none of them fall through. On friday we had a zoom call with the whole mission and me and my companion were asked to talk about Facebook finding and how we use it. I mostly sat there awkwardly and nodded because i dont know how to use Facebook.   Here are a couple of pictures from this week. Us at the boarder and some other cool stuff.

Another one

This week we had a pretty good week. We talked to a lot of people and taught quite a bit. We also did a lot of finding on facebook and its interesting. Its going to take a lot of getting used to. Plus the only people that will reply to me or my companion are on the other side of the world. But its cool to be able to still talk to them and share our message with them even when they're not in our area. And they now have the opportunity to learn. But at the same time its hard but i enjoy it. We didn't have our baptism this week because the guy who was being baptized ended up having to work because hes a truck driver and doesn't have a schedule and finds or he's working the night before. But we have our fingers crossed for this week. I hope you guys have a great week.  Elder Holdstock

Hello from almost Mexico

Hey guys hope you had a good week. Mine has been pretty good. There hasn't been a ton going on since stuff is still pretty shut down here. I'm in a place called Nogales and it's right on the border of Mexico and we can basically  see It from our house. A lot of what we are doing is calling people and teaching over the phone. Which is difficult because people don't answer our they hear it's us and hang up or our signal is low and the calls fail. Something cool is that last Saturday the sisters had a baptism and my companion did the baptism and I got to confirm her which was pretty cool. But that's pretty much my week. I hope you guys have a great week.  Elder Holdstock

Tucson Arizona Mission

Mitchell received his re-assignment to the Tucson Arizona Mission. He departed Salt Lake City today and safely arrived in his new mission. He is excited to get back out and serve the Lord.   ————————————————————————————————————————— Dear loved one,   Your missionary has arrived and we are so pleased and excited for the work that lays ahead. President and Sister Grisel welcomed them and provided them with training and orientation to get them adjusted to the new mission.  Those who are newer missionaries have been assigned experienced trainers.  Those who have been reassigned from previous missions due to COVID have picked up where they left off and are up and running already.   Thank you for all that you have done and will do to support these missionaries as they now work to serve God’s children and bring them the light and the promise of the gospel of Jesus Christ.   Warm regards,   President and Sister Grisel
